Hello,

I am running windows 7 64 bit with IE 10 (it started in IE 8) and when I go to add a site to the trusted sites the add button is greyed out. I tried not logging into the domain and logging in as another account that is an admin on the machine. I also tried:

User Config>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Internet Explorer>Internet Control Panel>Security Page
- In there the 'Site to Zone Assignment List' was Enabled and in the properties there's a Show button. Click the Show button allows you to add the website and the value, which for my requirements was '2' for Trusted Site.

I also tried:

Cannot add websites to Trusted Sites using IE 8 or 9 - the Add button is not greyed out

TIA

Ah, it's completely disabled. Sounds like a group policy setting. Since you have W7 Home Premium that doesn't include group policy, check the registry location below.

See:
IE Security Zones - Enable or Disable to Add/Remove Sites

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

Next, post a screenshot showing what DWORD values you have in the right pane of Internet Settings like below. The culprit would most likely be the Security_zones_map_edit DWORD value that needs to be deleted, and possibly may need to restart the computer to apply.
