Oh boy! More Windows 7 frustrations. Please help.

I have folders containing audio files (mostly audio books) with completely irrelvant and stupid pictures on them which I cannot change!!! There is no customisation tab on the properties menu like Vista.

I now have an audio book based on picking up women with a strange looking woman on it and an audio book on Atheism by Betrand Russell with a big, fat gospel singer on the front because Windows Media Player thinks that it is an album by a singer which it isn't! Even the files have the same incorrect picture which I am helpless to change.

This is so damn dumb! Why can't I change the picture on the front? Am I stuck with it?

Any ideas?

I prefer all folders to be "general" rather than content related - a "pictures" directory is a hinderance to my style of work. Sounds like your situation is similar...here is how I set the directories and folders.

> I use the tried and true OLD explorer view where you see the tree display on the left.

> I use the tried and true OLD explorer view to include the Menu bar.

> Select the desired folder from the left nav pane such as Desktop>Libraries>Pictures.

> Right click on the folder and select Properties.

> Click the Optimize this library for: drop list and select General Items.

> Click Apply then click OK.

> From the Menu bar click View>Choose details... and select (or deselect) items as desired.

I hope that at least gets you started.

Thanks! I didn't have the 'menu bar' showing. It's a shame that Windows 7 won't let you choose which pictures you want to display yourself - like XP did.
