cannot change logon screen wallpaper

i have a problem changing my logon screen wallpaper although i have use the windows 7 logon wallpaper changer.... how to reset back to default wallpaper?? help me...

Hello Khairi,

OPTION THREE in the tutorial below may be able to change it back to default for you. If not, then you could also use the program to select the default C:\Windows\System32\oobe\background.bmp log on screen image instead.

i cannot change although using the option.... the last i remember i change the logon screen using tuneup utilities 2011..... i hv uninstall the TU.... help me...

In the top left hand corner of the control panel there should be the option to re apply the default wallpaper (have a look on the picture)

TuneUp Styler (tuneup utilities 2011) has its own method of adding logon wallpaper. You cant change it via regedit and non of the system files are touched. It creates its OWN authui.dll file called authuitu.dll. Back in the vista days I tried to remove it via the registry. I couldnt. I also went past my 14 day trial, so i was screwed. I had to use system restore to get back to a preinstall of tuneup utilities. The uninstall should have restored the logon, but it didnt.

If you figure out how to remove it, please let me know.
