A few days ago my norton 360 ran out of its trial, so i uninstalled it through the control panel, i then downloaded avast and installed that (i did this at my mums place, the wireless is fine there) i then went to my uncles place and noticed the wireless wasnt working, and he told me to insall Nod32 so i uninstalled avast and installed Nod32 ( i thought avast was stopping me from connecting ) but that didnt solve the wireless problem.

He then told me to download the norton 360 removal tools to completly remove it because that might have been causing the issue, but that still didnt work.

So to sum it up, my laptop can connect to the wireless at my mums fine but when i go to my uncles it just doesnt want to connect ( but it will connect with a cable ). Ive tried restarting the router, turning it of (leaving it for a few mins) then turning it back on, ive installed the new updates, disabled my network adapter, tried to troubleshoot the problem but still nothing.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Did you try removing the info for the connection at your uncle's and starting fresh?
open the Network and Sharing Center
select Manage wireless networks
right click on the one for your uncle's WAP
select Remove network
restart the computer
attempt to reconnect to your uncle's WAP
