Hi guys, apologies for my first post being a "Help me" but I've been attempting to fix my PC since Thursday night, and since the Microsoft forums are utterly useless I've not got much choice.
Basically, the PC I have came with Windows Home Premium x64 installed. I upgraded this to Ultimate x64 eventually.
I followed a TechNet walkthrough on dual booting W7 and Server 2012 (?Step-By-Step?- 4 Methods to Dual Boot Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 with or without Windows 7 - Blain Barton's Blog - Site Home - TechNet Blogs).
Everything went swimmingly and I got the server updated, AD installed, Exchange etc., but then when it came to booting back into W7 I was unable to.
On reboot, I don't even get the option, the PC boots straight into Server 2012. In my MSCONFIG all I'm being shown is Server 2012 as the primary and lone OS installed. I can look at my D: (the C: of my Windows 7) and see that all the files are still there, and I've not overwritten them. I'm unable to make the D: the primary/default boot partition, and just when it seems like settings have taken seat, I reboot and am back to square one.
If there's anyone who can help me access my Windows 7 OS, or at least knows of any KBs I can look at then please feel free to contribute. All suggestions are welcome.
Have a nice Sunday,
Luca.
