3 days ago I turned on my computer and everything was loading fine until the windows starting screen appeared. I was taken to a screen that was black and said something like Windows did not load correctly and it gave me two options.

Repair Windows(Recommended)
Start Windows Normally

The repair windows option showed a bar at the bottom of the screen and said "Loading files" but after that it would just go back to the previous screen mention above where I get two options.
The start windows normally would try to reboot but would just go back to the same previous screen with the same error message.

I figured I would insert my Windows Install disk and boot from there to use the tools it has. I tried using System Repair and sometimes it worked and other times not. It would either indicate that it found and solved issues, didn't find any issues at all, or indicated that it could only find and solve issues on a drive with Windows Installed on it.

I resorted to using System Restore and Re-Imaged my c: drive since I marked the option to re-partition that one drive (Thank god for back-ups). After that the computer rebooted fine and I was able to log in. My AVG antivirus license expired a couple days ago so I kept being prompted to restart my pc so I would and every reboot was successful.

I went through this entire process three times and thought it might be AVG causing this problem. After the second time I realized that Important windows updates were being installed which happen to be: KB4099633, KB4284826, KB2952664, KB890830, and KB2993939. I payed very close attention to the updates making sure they downloaded and installed. I cannot remember specifically which ones failed but majority of them did. Now although they failed to install I was prompted to restart my computer since it was part of the installation process. It went through each of the 5 updates then restarted and showed a bsod for literally half a second then took me to the screen with the two options mentioned in the first paragraph. It would only show the bsod for the first reboot after installing the updates so I was unable to get any error codes.

I am currently on round 3 of re-imaging and turned off windows automatic updates. I know some of these updates are quite important but I don't want to install them if they are preventing my pc from booting.

Any ideas on which specific updates are causing this issue?

Sorry it took me a month to reply. My roommate moved out so I had no internet for my desktop but I got it back. I narrowed it down to the KB4054518 update.
I don't know why but every time I try to install it it fails and then I'm prompted to restart my pc so I do then that's when all the bad stuff happens. Hope this helps!
