Ok so recently I reformatted my ASUS laptop wiping everything from my hard drive. When I tried to connect to the internet, the laptop would not find any wireless networks around me. So I went to Device Manager and saw that the "Network Controller" had a yellow triangle next to it. So I tried to find a network controller driver online for my laptop, but couldn't find anything. Even on the ASUS drivers download page there were no network controllers available. Here are the specs of my laptop: -
Model: UL50Ag, OS:- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, Ethernet Controller:- Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)

If any other information is required just ask and please if anyone can find a link or some solution to resolve my problem, I would be very grateful.

Hi iowndd,

I think your network controller is listed as a Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000, thats why you cant find one from Asus.

According to your specs: Intel® WiFi Link 1000

Please download and install this file from the following link:

File name: Wireless_15.3.1_s64.exe Version:15.3.1

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...+1000&lang=eng

or for just the driver:

File name: Wireless_15.3.1_Ds64.exe

Hope this helps

cheers

Dave

I tried this, what those files are are diagnostic programs. All they do is tell you what you already know, you don't have wireless working.
