So im trying to install win7 64bit over 32bit using a boot disc made with imgburn at 4x.
When i get to the "install now" part it tells me im missing cd/dvd drivers and allows me to cancel or browse for these drivers. From what i have read, this is caused by a bad burn so im currently downloading a fresh iso witch i will reburn for the third time. I dont think its going to help any but third times a charm right?

I have also wiped my HDD with dban, tried diskpart clean in command promt, downloaded all MOBO drivers onto a flash drive and attemped to load them during the install witch results in a message "no new device found...". Is there some specific driver i need for a 64bit install? Before you ask my cpu is compatible with 64bit, i can install 32bit from the oem disc i originally purchased when i built it & i dont have flash drive large enough to hold the install file so DVD is my only option.

Please help i am getting very frustrated with this.

Bios options are set to IDE

CPU: Intel Core i3 540
HDD: 1TB seagate
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770 Sapphire
RAM: 4gb
MOBO: ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
Sound: SoundBlaster Audigy 5/Rx

let me know if more info is needed.

Clean the HD Drive first.

To clean install:
1) Clean the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:

than
2a) clean install with the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disk.
