Hi
here are the specs for the PC I am posting about:
MEDIONPC MS-7366 2.2
Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (build 7601.23914)
CPU: 2.50 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. A7366MLN.20Z 07/23/2009
RAM: 3072 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
Slot 'DIMM0' has 2048 MB
Slot 'DIMM1' has 2048 MB
Hard Drives
c: (NTFS on drive 0) * 469.91 GB 377.87 GB free
d: (NTFS on drive 0) 530.29 GB 210.66 GB free
f: (NTFS on drive 1) 319.79 GB 243.18 GB free
g: (NTFS on drive 1) 320.34 GB 320.14 GB free
Display
NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 [Display adapter]
Philips PHL 243V5 [Monitor] (23.4"vis, s/n ZV01538001241, September 2015)
I have been away for several months and when I fired up this PC I saw that the resolution had changed and not all the screen was covered, which it was before I left.
The PC had been used very occasionally while I was away and the user has no knowledge of what went on re updates etc.
The default resolution for the Philips PHL 243V5 monitor is 1920 x 1200 but in Display Options, the max shown, and current selection is 1920 x 1080 and that has (recommended) beside it.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the NVidia driver using the option to remove installed drivers but the result is the same.
I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this issue.
Thanks
Daniel
