Cannot get usb3 drivers onto usb stick with win7x64

No matter which method I use, upon booting i still get the message "A required cd/dvd drive device is missing..." and even tho I have a plethora of drivers available on an adjacent drive (usb3 6.2.9200.2453, usb3_win7_2021, et.al.) none will work. Each of these drivers is highlighted indicating it is acceptable, and begins loading only to stop with the message "No new devices could be found".
If I install Win7 using a dvd and a ps/2 mouse, the installation completes altho without any USB. But with the above drivers on the adjacent drive, and booting with F8's Driver Signature off, the drivers are accepted.
Is it possible that the Driver Signature requirement is stopping me at install time?

It might need the driverframework update installed for those "universal" usb drivers to work.

The motherboard is an ASUS Prime B760M-A-CSM, with an I5-12600k cpu.
As I said, I can get the usb3 drivers installed after the Win7 install from a DVD.
But I want Win7 onto an NVME drive and must install from a usb stick, which therefore needs the usb3 drivers on it as well.
(For some reason cloning Win7 from the adjacent SSD to the NVME M.2 doesn't work, or I can't get it to work).

It is a .7z file with the three letters.zip added. That is because .7z files cannot be uploaded to this forum. Use 7-zip to extract

I expect you would need the "universal" usb3 drivers in boot.wim for that motherboard in addition to nvme driver needing to be integrated into boot.wim.

I suggest you update the installation media

Update your Win 7 installation media

Alternatively use windows 10 installation media and replace the win10 sources\install.wim with your windows7 install.wim which must have the nvme driver integrated beforehand

I took your advice and downloaded and used 7UPv64R. It worked and the USB3 and NVME drivers were incorporated. I wonder about all of the other drivers included, and if it is possible to edit the Driver.7z file to remove them. I don't need Bluetooth, and many others.

The first thing it does is extract the drivers.7z into a folder called drivers\bootx64 you can delete anything you dont want from there

On another note, is there a way to separate an x86/x64 ISO into two ISO's (one x86 and one x64)? I only need the one (x64) which will then fit on a single DVD after additions.

In olden times a few people exported the x64 images into the x86 install.wim.
Have you got one of those ?

No, I don't. I thought DISM might be able to, but I think it just handles overflow. ImageX has been mentioned.
In any event, I have installed Win7x64 on a 12th generation M/B. But, the ASUS Prime B760M-A-CSM is only CSM if you have a graphics card. The option is blanked out in the bios without one. So CPU graphics are not tenable. If I had known I would have gotten a -KF processor and saved a few bucks.
The Realtek LAN driver included in Drivers.7z works. No other one that I have been able to find does.
I cannot find a Realtek audio driver, but no great problem.

There are no win7 gpu drivers after 8/9 gen. Any cpu later will need graphics card.

Similar for amd. Win7 apu drivers for 3400g can be had but later cpu e.g. 4600g or 5600g or whatever they are called need graphics card for win7
