By mistake i installed 32bit version and the day after i notice the mistake.

On the same computer I used my other drive that is an Agility 3 SSD disk and install the win7. ( I removed the first drive so only only one disk on the system)

Now i dont have a chose to select 64/32 bit.

PLease answer these questions:

Hold on, you have 32bit and 64 bit on the same CD? I guess I haven't been around much but I have always thought they came on separate CDs. How did you get yours? The problem may be the CDs themselves. What manufacturer is listed on the CD? Is it a full Windows 7 CD or is it just a repair CD or something? The 32 bit version installed no problem, and you were able to make it work? Are you sure the 64bit software is actually on that CD?

And please follow this advice to the best of your ability:

Welcome to SevenForums,

A big help to us would be your System Specs.

UPDATE YOUR SEVENFORUMS SYSTEM SPECS

User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
in left-hand column, under Your Profile, Edit System Spec |

Use Speccy - System Information - Free Download
and/or SIW to gather info for filling in the blanks.

Do me a favor and add the word laptop or desktop to the “system manufacturer” block.

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader, Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

thanks, karl

I take it that your Windows 7 DVD isn't an official Microsoft version. The OS is normally distributed on 2 DVDs, one 32 bit, one 64. (At least in the US.)

If you have a 32 bit version of Windows installed on the system, to install the 64 bit OS from a MS disk, the PC must be booted from the DVD. (The 64 bit DVD cannot be launched from within a 32 bit version of Windows.)

I don't know how that would apply to the version of the Windows installer that you have. Have you booted the PC from the DVD?

I updated the question.
thanks for all the replays.
Yes it's both 32 and 64 version on the same dvd.
There was a 32/64bit selection during installation when i installed on my sata disk but not when i installed in the SSD disk.

i dont know what kind of win7 DVD this is. I borrow it from a friend of mine.
The think is winxp was installed and wanted to test win7 to see the differences in performance.

Guess i have to get me a singe 64bit verision

Yes, as both Microsoft and this forum consider even borrowing an act of theft against microsoft and it is actually punishable by law. One license per person, as you agreed to when you clicked on the "agree and continue button" in the installation after reading that long long paragraph. the rules of this forum say we are not allowed to help or discuss any such theft on the forums.

The retail version of Windows 7 contains two DVDs: one is for the 32-bit version and the other is the 64-bit version.

Chances are you've got hold of some pirated software, which as DustSailor rightly says, breaks the forum rules for even discussing the matter.

Get yourself legal by buying legitimate software (OEM versions are a lot cheaper) and (if you feel so inclined) report whoever provided you with the dodgy software to Microsoft.

That's OK, we've all done things we perhaps shouldn't have.

If you have someone in the family you may be able to get the Student version of Windows 7. Failing that, the OEM version (which is tied to the computer it's installed on) will give you a big saving over the retail version.

If you have a Win7 retail Product key or a COA sticker on the machine which came with Win7, then you can find or borrow an installer to clean reinstall your legally licensed copy.

If you don't have the legal Product key then buy a copy of Win7.
