Hi,

I got duped into installing AVG PC tune up. After the tune up completed and I rebooted, I cannot open IE or any of my existing applications. I cannot even open the Restore application.

I have done all the work arounds suggested online without any fix. I was able to completed remove AVG tune up. I did the scan and got a log file. It did specify there were some corrupted files that Windows fixed.

After several reboots, I am still not able to open any applications. I tried re-installing an application, but it gave an error stating Class not registered and it just died.

Do I have any other fix I can look into besides wiping out the drive? I would really hate to do that if there is a work around.

Appreciate any help. Log file from scan is attached.
Thanks.

Hasnain

Thanks for the reply.

So I am assuming there is no other way to get back the system besides the full restore?

Welcome to Seven Forums yusufali. Try booting to Safe Mode with Command prompt and doing a system restore from there

Boot to Safe Mode with Command Prompt and type (or copy and paste)
