Well I did a clean install yesterday hoping to fix my installation error w/sp1, no luck. Ive gotten just about all the other important updates installed. I have tried to install via windows update, standalone x64, update readiness tool does nothing for me. I have tried to install with just one stick of ram, ive disable crossfire, booted into safe mode, etc. im out of ideas. Ive seen some logs being posted but im not sure what/where to find/get the log. I have gotten some bsod's, one said ntfs.sys was to blame, dxgmm1 was to blame, and then I get some with just the service stop text. I messed with msconfig to try and get a diagnosis boot to work, the list goes on.

Ill be happy to load a log when i find it, i almost forgot, the error code via windows update is 8007000D

Thanks,
Andrew

Since you just clean installed, give it another shot with SP1 built in.

Here is a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium Sp1 X64.

http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24209.iso

You can download this iso and burn it to a DVD. Install using your current Windows 7 Home Premium key.

Hope this helps.

No. But you should use a download manager.

It will time out if you are downloading it regularly through your browser.

You have a hardware issue (bad memory) which is preventing the service pack to install, i have the same motherboard and similar hardware specs and back in the day installed sp1 as soon as it was released without any issue, now i use a new windows 7 install disk which already has sp1 built in, not a single issue to report.

Use another computer and visit the support page for your motherboard.

ECS Web Site

Download all the drivers from that website (not the bundled software, the individual drivers). After you install Windows, install all of those drivers, then visit Windows Update and install all of the required updates. That should hopefully solve your problems.
