First I have a Acer desktop , Windows 7 (64bit), and AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics (built in).

Yesterday I was watching a video and my system Blue screened. PAGE_FAULT_IN NONPAGED_AREA.....atikmdag.sys.

I assumed it was a video crash but just ignored it. Today it didn't crash but I noticed that graphics seem to be getting stuck. Hard to explain: The system wasn't freezing up but parts of open programs would remain onscreen or the background wallpaper would show through a part of the program where it shouldn't. Anyway, I decided to use a program named "Display Driver Uninstaller" from Guru3D.com to uninstall my drivers to do a fresh install.

It was recommended to boot into safe mode to do this so I did. Ran the program and when finished, rebooted my system.

I expected the add new hardware utility to pop up but it didn't. Windows only installed a basic "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". If I try to update it, it claims to be already up to date. I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD but they will not install.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

In addition to what Oscer has suggested the nearest I can get from AMD is this Desktop

Personally I don't use after market software such as that Display Driver one you used but that is your choice of course.

Thank you for the replies but I managed to clear it out. I already tried downloading the drivers from Acer and it didn't work. I used a program called SlimDrivers to see if it could find some updated video drivers for me. It claimed there was a updated driver for a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. Didn't seem to be what I was looking for but I tried it anyway. It was AMD CCC but when it tried to install the graphics driver it failed with the error it couldn't find the .inf file.

I decided to check the hard drive for errors, it found none but when it restarted the computer after it was finished Windows froze up at the logo screen (before the login one). So I forced it off by pressing the power button for 5 seconds. When it restated I was presented with the option to to start up Windows repair or start windows normally. I decided Windows repair, at this point it couldn't hurt. It first gave me an option for a system restore which I declined. I don't think my system restore is working right either since most where very old and some of the restore points go back to 2012.

When start up repair finished it claimed it couldn't find any problems so I let it finish and restated the computer. For awhile it seemed like my video card vanished off the face of the earth but everything seems to be back to normal again.

Ok thats good just one thing make sure the Slimdriver software is uninstalled ( I have used it last ditch in the past) because it can become an awful nagger especially some of the stuff that comes with it.
Just a tip I have Unchecky installed on all my machines to stop program as like that adding add on things like Askbar Googlebar etc etc https://unchecky.com/
