Hi everyone!
I am trying to do a clean install of windows 7 on my rig, installation goes smoothly until after the first restart at which point i get stuck in an endless rebooting loop on "starting windows" screen.Ive been able to boot into safe mode without restarts so i know it is most likely a driver issue however installation wont continue in safe mode and the only option i have is to restart.
I have now reinstalled windows xp which both installs and works fine.So far i have :
-tested RAM with memtest - 0 errors
-tested harddrive with chkdsk - again,0 errors
Can anyone help? And sorry for my bad english.

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? How?

Try running the installer from XP to overwrite C, report back.

Try replacing the RAM stick now to see if it is recognized and works - sometimes it only needs to be removed for install. You can also swap slots. Then I'd stress test it overnight with memtest CD.

Well i did that and not only did the said stick cause multiple bsods,it also caused my ati display driver to crash randomly.Ive tested the other stick extensively in both slots and it caused no such issues. However, even after 5+ hours of running memtest it found no errors. Is the stick faulty or what?
