cannot load network adapter

I've been battling my PC all day to get my new Radeon HD 5870's in a crossfire alignment. After I managed to do so my pc suddenly refuses to load the network adapter and all my DVD drives also do not load either. How can I fix this?!?!? Thanks a lot for any help. some specs
P6TD Deluxe MB, i7 950, Windows 7 64 bit OS, 12 GB DDR3 1600 RAM

When I download a new driver from ASUS it tells me to uninstall the previous version and then gives me this message The Realtek Network Controller was not found. IF Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable

What do you mean by refused to load the network adatper?

The Marvell Yukon Ethernet controller and controller #2 are installed, the only things in my device manager that are flagged are all of the WAN miniport files, what to do??

when I checked the all of these files in device manager, double clicked them, they said that the device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (code 31)

Have you tried right-clicking the device and either select Uninstall or Update Driver Software, assuming you are using wireless at the moment?

yes on wireless at the moment, I tried to install drivers, it said they were found, but then could not install for the same reason...error 31. Tried to delete all of them, but they won't go away even after restart

WAN miniport are Windows services, would repair install solve this?

Here is some info on removing driver. I take no responsibility should something goes wrong.

Uninstall Drivers from Vista & Windows 7

did not find any problems
