Solved Cannot log into account / Safe mode is not working correctly

Hello, I recently was not able to log onto my account and I followed the tutorials on changing SIDs and whatnot and now I am completely locked out of windows unless I access it through safe mode BUT safe mode is not working correctly any box I open appears blank and giant I cannot change my resolution...Is there anything I can do???

Can you show me an image of the registry that you changed and the C:\Users window. The path profile should be to your user name inside the Users folder

Safe Mode using default video driver which makes the resolution bigger than in normal view

I dont think its a resolution problem now because once I try to click on anything like right click on the toolbar its blank and the objects highlight but its all blank :\

Can you log in to the account in normal mode ?

No, it gives me the message "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

Are you logged in under the user Local Admin ? In Safe Mode ?

So you get an Idea of what im talking about, I ran regedit which is open and I also have right clicked on the toolbar

Oh Wow . Lets create a new account call it Test make it an Administrator not the Standard account . You could always delete the account later .

Finally got it to add the user and then it gave me the same message "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

Just went to shutdown from the login screen and now its showing that its installing 1 of 1 update

Alright! I made it onto a correctly working version windows safe mode with networking!...Now what?

Can you open the registry ? Navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Tell me if you see two SID folders with the same key one with .bak and one without .bak

Here's what I got! The TEMP acct has the .bak

On the key without .bak right click on STATE choose modify type 0 (zero) click Ok. Close the registry window restart and see if you could login to your account normally .

If the .bak account is C:\Users\TEMP you could delete the SID KEY folder that goes with the TEMP account .

Was not able to log onto my main account however I am now able to regularly log on with the extra account I just created.
