Hey guys, So I'm having this problem with my PC that whenever I boot it up it asks for a password and for some reason it just keeps showing welcome screen, loading and then afterwards shows that i need to type the password again, now when this started I only had to type the password twice then after a reboot i had to type it 4 times and then after another reboot It was infinite. BUT the first time I was greeted by it I Immediately searched in on the net and typed "having to type password twice" and a majority of what I found was that I had to uncheck the box in the "require password on system wakeup" on that setting somewhere ( I can't remember) so I did just that well I thought it worked it required me to restart to see if it worked and sure enough it didn't and rebooting made it worse with having to type password 4 times.now any suggestion on what to do now will be really appreciated and can someone say "welcome to the forums?" :)

Edit: BTW I'm still using my computer but in a different account well additional info is that i didn't have another account before and that booting into safe mode was working fine and I also tried removing the password but the problem only restarted with having to click the user Icon twice then 4 times and then infinite again. so I created another account in safe mode since everything was working fine in safe mode. system restore has been tried but I'm getting an error but I've only tried it once so idk.virus is still in the topic but I've already scanned with multiple antivirus antimalware software like malwarebytes, avira and super anti spyware but all 3 of them didn't detect anything so I'm thinking 3rd party software? so how do I disable this 3rd party software if there is one causing this?

Hi E.U. and welcome to the Forum. I beleive wiping everything at this stage would be a little drastic. Lots of stuff you could try before making a wrong decision like wiping everything out.

If you create a new user account with Admin privilages, does it behave normally when you try to log in? This would be the first question. Let us know.

well yes I have created another account but without admin privileges and have had no problems BTW
I've found out that instead of it being scary it's actually annoying I am currently using the original account (the first one the one that has the problem) but It just keeps repeating it keeps showing me the welcome screen, turns black, shows loading mouse, then goes back to make me choose an account if it has a password it will just repeat the same process and then show me that i need to type the password again (btw sorry for the late reply i've been scanning my computer for viruses but so far nothing is coming up)

So it appears that it is a setting in the offending account that is causing the problem and not an overall Windows problem. Some final thoughts on things you can check.
1. Make sure your Screen Saver is not set to "on resume, display logon screen"

2. Make sure that in Power Settings it is not set to "require password on wakeup"

If none of the above works, you can allways copy all your stuff out of the offending user account to the new (working) one you created. When you are satisfied that all is ok in the new account you can blow away the bad one.

Good luck

Not exactly sure by your last post if you now have it all working to your satisfaction. If so, I am glad to have been of assistance. If you have further questions, just ask. If you are a happy camper you may consider hitting the Reputation Icon at top right of this post.

Good luck and best regards
