Some of the Office 2010 applications (access, outlook, etc.) cannot be opened. I get a message saying that I need to install IE 3.00/4.00 or later, although I have IE 9 installed.

Hrant, you could try a repair install with office 2010. control panel programs and features. select ms office 2010 and select repair to see if that solves your problem.

Thanks a lot, Rich. Unfortunately it didn't help.

Hrant, the only solution that I can suggest now is to uninstall office 2010 and then re-install it. Or just try to re-install it.

Dear Rich, thank you for your help. I uninstalled Office 2010 and re-installed it again. The same thing! Very strange...

Hrant, One thing I would do is to uninstall office 2010, then remove all the directories related to it. After a clean boot. Then do an install of office 2010. Sometimes MS install programs create files in the office directories that will screw up installs.
