Cannot reinstall Windows 7 due to Hard DRive issues

Hi all

I have a Samsung EVO SSD & I tried to reinstall Windows 7 but Windows won't allow me to perform the reinstall & gave me this message ..... " Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI system, Windows can only be installed to GPT disk."

I've also include a screen shot of my drive to view.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. If you delete all the partition so it's a blank disk it should work

samuria, I wonder if end-user will have to boot and run a utility that will "make" the HD a GPT, compatable for the EFI computer.

Samuria is right. On computer with a UEFI BIOS, if you are using a Win 7 64 bits Installation disk, when you delete all partitions and create new, the new one will be GPT.

Hi,
That small of a drive did not have to be GPT it just needed the existing J partition deleted so the entire disk was Unallocated.

GPT is only required for drives over 2tb so windows will see the space over 2tb's
