I've done a fresh install of Windows 7 on my new setup, Windows Update had about 135 important update to install, it got through about 100 of them and now I'm hung up on the last few (29). I have look through many tut's on this issue, and im not getting anywhere.

Ive downloaded and run the SURT, a couple of times, as well as run a sfc scan a bunch of times (both in cmd and at boot). The sfc scan tells me there are errors, but it cannot fix them

Ive tried only selecting a few (or individual) updates to see if there is one causing the problem, but to no avail (though i have NOT tried this with EVERY single update remaining)

Given the number of updates remaining, should i bother listing them?

Also, I have not attached my zipped Log file yet, as it is 60mb (possibly from running a million scans?)

Thanks for any incite on the issue

(P.S. This is my second install on this drive, the first time the updates installed just fine, but I started getting BSOD'd when i started installing the rest of my software)

(P.S.S.... I tried installing an optional update just to see, installed just fine; confusion continues)

Hey, I am not knowledgeable in troubleshooting your problem, just wanted to say:

- You can upload the file to a cloud service like MS OneDrive or Dropbox. Post a link to the file when you do, so experts can look at it. Compressing may also help.

I don't know if there is a way to delete that file and whether rerunning the tool would result in a smaller file though. So wait for another person to comment if you so wish.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

Deleted older CBSPersist files, trying to run scan again, and now my system is blue screening

When I started up again, I got a window that says "Window has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" and gives me some details;

I've also grabbed a picture of the BSOD, I'm not sure if this will help though,
