I have a laptop with Windows 7 (home premium, 32 bit); I also have an XP (SP3) computer with two printers attached. An Epson 3800 and an Epson Workforce 30. Both are pretty new. I have installed the Epson 3800 driver on the laptop.

But both printers are connected to the XP computer via USB. When I try to create a new port for the Epson 3800 printer object on Windows 7, I get "Not enough server storage is available to process this command." What I do is right click on the icon in Devices and Printers, then Properties, then Ports then Add Port then I put the path to the printer on the XP computer \\ComputerName\Printer2 and that's when I get the error. Is this how it's supposed to done? Is there another way?

That's what I tried and I get "Not enough server storage is available to process this command."

Just to note, this worked when the laptop ran Vista.

actually, under Network and Sharing, none of the devices (including folders) are accessible from the Windows 7 laptop, even though they are definitely shared on the XP computer.
