Canon LBP 2900r Printer Drivers

Hey, hai all i`ve recently bought a Canon LBP 2900r Printer and the drivers CD which i got from the manufacturer is not compatible with windows7 OS, but my PC works great with windows7 and i don`t want to go back with this issue.

Downloaded s/w from this link --> Printer Driver
i`ve downloaded the driver from canon with windows7 OS type selected from the link shown above. Still the problem persists.

So, anyone please help me in finding the drivers for the Canon LBP 2900r Printer compatible with windows7.

Hi! Welcome to SevenForums. I extracted the contents of the .exe and found View attachment Windows 7_Notice.pdf This notice about Windows 7 installations. You might wanna try some of the things on there.

Have you tried installig it form control panel>devices and printers>add printer>have disk > type in the location of the driver you downloaded?

thnx for the warm welcome, regarding the issue, i did not understand what the manual says to the end user like me.

yes, i have tried the way u suggested but din`t work for me
