[Fixed] Canon MP520 - 7-64bits

Hi there,
Did anyone succeed in making this damn printer work properly (especially for the scan) on a fresh install of 7-64bits? Despite installing the latest driver from Canon for 7-64 bits (here: PIXMA MP520 /MP drivers 64 bits (1.01)) I can't get the scan working properly. For me it looks like only the generic driver from Seven is installed properly, allowing me to print but nothing else (the miniature picture from my printer indeed appears as a generic printer). Any idea?
When I install the programm from Canon (MP Navigator), it says on launch that the driver is not setup...
I uninstall/reinstall several times, disabled UAC and close all apps including Kaspersky but still stuck there.
Would appreciate any help.

Use device manager to install.

Right click on printer. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Now find .inf from the install that was extracted and double click on it. Hit ok and let it install.

Good luck.

Finally I got it working! I did what you suggested and still wasn't working. So after that I unstalled MP Navigator 1.06 and it made the trick for me. Any newer version of the software would not work for me. Anyway, big thanks !
