I have a work group of 8 computers:
· 2 pc clones running windows 7 home
· 2 all in one hp pc’s running on windows 7 pro
· 1 clone running windows 7 ultimate
· 3 clone pc’s running windows 7 pro
I recently changed my DSL modem because the phone company determined it was damaged, the network connection runs from the modem to an 8 port switch and from the switch to the computers.
After I replaced the modem the network printer keep getting disconnected from de network from time to time, it may work for 3 to 4 hour without problems then it loses connection, if I ping the address 192.168.1.175 it replay with a time out then I keep doing a ping until it replays correctly. All my computer have static IP’s same goes for the printer, please help ASAP I can’t correct the issue. I think I tried it all

all computers are running avast premier anti virus

Welcome to Seven Forums,

Have you setup an exclusion (not to be part of the DHCP scope) for all the Static IPs in your network including the 192.168.1.175 (printer's IP)?
