canon printer

hi guys i am back now with a small thing
i have in my office a canon ir3035n and i inserted into my pc and i didn't need any drivers as it installed itself (without internet) but the thing is all the other computers in the office have a different driver.
what do i mean as when i go into printing preferences i have nearly nothing, but all the other computers have a full program (not a actual program) with options like which drawer to take the papers to where it should come out etc. so i was wandering where could i find it i made some searches tried to install some thing like canon ir3035/3045 PS3 but the problem with this one was that it didn't print!
so please if someone could help me to find the correct printing (if possible also the scanning) driver
i would really appreciate it

thanks for that i was once there and downloaded some things but non of them worked as you brought it up i went into it again but now more slowly and indeed i managed to find the correct driver to make it print
but now i want to also be able to scan maybe you could help me by telling me what is the driver that includes scanning?

Looks like the latest Driver might well include the Scan Function ...

I just quickly browsed through the manual for your model and it sounds as if scanning is only supported through network. Kind of strange.

well sorry to inform you that no it does not include the scan option

it possible to make my printer a network printer with only a Ethernet cable?
if yes how do i set it up (that i should also be able to print)

Yes, plug the ethernet cable into the printer and router, run printer setup program and it should find it and set it up. You may want to uninstall the USB printer and software prior to hooking it up to network and start fresh.

After that install the network scan application to be able to scan to and from the computer.

i'm sorry but you didn't understand my question, i asked if it's possible to set up a network printer with "only" a Ethernet cable this means without a router

1. i don't need 2 computers with one printer i have one computer and i would like to make my printer connect to it as if it's in a network
2. Certainly i considered it but i wanted to do it alone

Might be a good idea to see if the Manual is any help ...

no manual (its a company that rents printers they charge by page printed)
