Can't Access FSX files in Window 7 etc......

Hello out there, I am wondering if anybody is experiencing the same frustrating problems as I am. In order to load some 3rd party software on FSX I need access to it's files, subfolders (ie Add-on Scenery etc) .Yet when I attempt to open up Flight Simulater X on C: there is only a blank space. I am very new to Windows 7 & I find it very bewildering. With XP it was a doddle.

Also... I have some 3rd party software(all same make) which worked AOK on XP,yet I can't install them on Windows 7. I get the error message:"Cannot install this program please select your correct Flight Simulator directory" Hope some kind soul can help - it's driving me crackers!!

try right clicking on the FS directory (im running fs9, but i think its in the same place, c:\program files\microsoft games\...) click on security, edit.

make sure the user has FULL CONTROL clicked.
