Can't access Safe Mode F8
I can't delete a large Acronis backup on the external drive to make room for another backup, so I tried to go into Safe Mode repeatedly pressing F8. It takes me back to the desktop. Any help you can give me to access Safe Mode will be greatly appreciated. ellenc

You need to do that from a cold start up. Meaning the computer completely off to begin with. Power on then start pressing F8
