Cant Adjust Screen Resolution after 7 install

well i downloaded Windows 7 and now everything is HUGE. It says the size of my monitor does not meet the requirements to run over 600 resolution. however, i have a monitor well capable of running that.

I have a dell 2300 and the only drivers i can find are for xp on their site. I have been told maybe the graphics card is not strong enough, however, it is only 4 years old. Is it that big of a deal.

I need some help. I am not currently at my computer but i will update with system stats. when i get back.

4 yrs old? That's probably why - it needs to support WDDM 1, preferably 1.1.

where can i find my system information.

Type msinfo32.exe into the start menu, then select system summary and then choose file, export. Upload the txt file.

Ive just installed windows 7 too, and theres a possibility that im facing the same problem here. my resolution cant be more than 1024x768, my previous res on xp was 1280x800. im a little frustrated too here tried downloading and installing some drivers from ATI but i havent been able to solve the problem.

Welcome to Seven Forums. We will need to know your system specs in order to help you. So please fill them in. Here is a program that can help you with that Speccy - System Information - Free Download without knowing you specs it makes it extremely difficult to help. especially your Video card.
Please fill in all of them under userCP (top of page) scroll down second on left, edit system specs.
