Hello everyone!

Thank you for taking your time reading over my post and trying to help me!

My problem is that I can't not backup my file.
With norton ghost the message was "Error E7C300F: Device \\?\SymantecSnapshot0 cannot read 7872 sectors staring at LBA 96472--Error EBAB03F1: The request could not be performed becadr of an I/O device error."
With Arconis true image the message was "Failed to read from the secor 116,846,184 of hard drive 1. Failed to read the snapshot (0x10C45A). CRC Error (0x100155)"

I googled and ran chkdsk /r on both C: drive and my external hard drive. Both have been reported with no bad sectors. And then I downloaded Western Digital Data Lifeguard to inspect bad sectors and it turned out to be there was a few that was repairable. But before I pressed repair, I tried to backup my file using windows backup settings, but it didn't work either. And I took the risk to press repair with a chance of losing data, but The WD failed to repair!

Now I'm totally stuck! Please advise me on this!

Thank you again for spending time helping me!

Use chkdsk command in Command prompt for all partitions.
MS-DOS chkdsk command help
Details on how to use it properly and syntax can be found in above link.
Mostly,
chkdsk C: /f

If that doesn't work means, try backup with boot/rescue disk.
When the program is trying to create an exact image of disc, It doesn't want to create a image with bad sectors or bad bits.

A bad sector can not be repaired,
what WD like programs do is remap the bad sector
and Map a spare sector inplace of the bad
sector. HDDs contain a Hidden extra sectors
for this purpose. This is OK untill you run out
of the spare sectors at which time it just
marks it "BAD" and decreases available HDD
space.
Highly recommend you replace before drive fails and you maynot retrieve any of the files.
