Hey =)

My screen randomly froze yesterday (stayed locked, couldn't move mouse or anything) and now W7 is stuck at "Starting Windows". The little icons won't appear and it stays stuck there for hours.

In safe-mode it gets stuck at CLASSPNP.SYS and locks.

Trying to reinstall doesn't work, it just reloops. I tried with another HDD, with new RAM, with another Video-Card, reset CMOS, nothing works.

Surprisingly, I can boot up Ubuntu just fine atm, no problem whatsoever.

I had this same issue when I had Windows Vista....anyone able to figure out what's happening?

I was able to install Windows 32 bit instead of 64 bit. I dont understand why though. I thought my system was 64 bit.

What are your system specs? Is x86 suitable or would you like to install x86-64? Looks like its not hardware. If you want to keep x86, I wouldn't recommend it, but go through the 2 guides in my sig and then image the system.
