Can't boot Win7 DVD

Hello

I downloaded the following ISO file of Win7 so I can check it out and make sure the apps + peripherals I use daily work OK with it:

"Windows Seven 7 En X86 32 bits Build 7048.iso"

Although Nero6 says it burned the ISO successfully, when I reboot the PC with the DVD in there: "CDBoot: Couldn't find bootmgr".

FWIW, when opening the ISO file with WinISO 5.3, I can only see a single file README.TXT that says: "This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification." OTOH, when I open the ISO with MagicISO 5.3, I can see the expected tree of files/subdirectories (setup.exe, autorun.inf, etc.)

Does someone know why this DVD won't boot, and what I could try?

Thank you for any hint.

It is a very old buggy beta. You'd do much better with RTM.

Install IMgBurn uploaded below. Click Verify Disk, load in ISO, look for Bootable in text at left, then insert DVD and verify both.

If bad, burn at 4x with Verify.

Thanks, found the RTM ISO. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a product key

Apparently, 7 will run for 30 days without a product key, so that should be enough.

Any time you use Nero, make sure you select burn an image. You may have just burned a DATA DVD.

I did choose the "Burn image" item in Nero, but I think the issue was that Nero 6 doesn't support UDF images. I'm installing the RTM right now, so I can give Windows7 a try. Thanks for your help.

I do not believe bootable DVDs are UDF, but ISO 9660..

Thanks. I ended up using MagicIso to convert the UDF file into an ISO, and burned the ISO. Worked OK.
