Hi, I hava had my new pc for 5 months now running win7 ultimate. It has been running fine untill the other day.
When I boot up I get this message:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings and click "Next."
3. Click "repair your computer."

Fortunatley I have the win7 disk (I asked for one when ordering my pc) placed it in the drive and booted from that as above.
Everything went fine! BUT when I shut down and boot up it happens again.

Is there some fie needs fixing?
What could be causing this?

Thanks for any answers...

Ok! I decided to reinstall windows7 (clean reinstall) and after a while it happened again. So I did the above solution and this time everything worked fine. It seems that the problem was indeed old software I was useing.
Thanks for your help.
