Solved Can't change window color

Hello all,

I recently bought a laptop that came standard with Windows 7 Home-Premium, 64bit edition. Now, I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden, when I:

right click desktop > personalization > window color

I get a screen that looks like this:

instead of the traditional screen that looks like this:

Now, I've tried a lot of things, including:
-Running the Aero Troubleshooting tool (detects no problems)
-Changing the theme to "Windows Classic," restarting, and then changing back (to no avail)
-Running MSCONFIG (as an administrator), disabling "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" and "Themes," restarting, re-enabling, restarting again (this didn't work either)

So now I've come to you guys. I've looked at multiple threads with the same problem, and tried all of those solutions, yet found no answer.

I'm about to use system restore (which I'd rather not do) to fix the problem, so any help you guys could give would be great.

Try System Restore. If it still doesnt work, i would suggest you to do a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

After trying to do a few registry fixes (none of which worked), I system restored back to before the problem started.
