Can't change WMC Recorded TV save location - always reverts to default

As the title suggests, I'm having difficulty changing the Recorded TV storage location on my HTPC. The default location is C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV. I want it to save to D:\Shared\Recorded TV, since the C: drive is a 128GB SSD, but the D: drive is a 1.5TB HDD.

Both locations are in the Recorded TV library, and I've set the D: location as the default save. (I also tried removing the C: location from the library, but it always re-appears.) I added the folder to the Recorded TV media library in WMC.

Under Tasks/Settings/Recorder/Recorder Storage, I hit the + sign to change from C: to D:, and hit save. When I come back to Recorder Storage again 5 seconds later, it's back to C: again.

Any idea why that might be, and how to fix it?

Try setting the path with the registry Editor.
Set the path at this key, then reboot computer.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Recording
