Can't delete a folder...

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to delete a directory/folder off of my C drive, and every time I try, I get this error:

You need permission to perform this action.

You require permission from the computer's administrator to make changes to this folder.

I am the administrator.

I don't know why this is happening or what to do about it. Anyone have any idea?

I installed this, took ownership of the directory, and yet I still could not delete it.

When I try to use rmdir in command prompt I get...

Access is denied.

Oddly enough, the first step in your link (Reboot and try deletion again) worked!

If you ever have problems with that again, both with files and folders, there is a program called UNLOCKER that works great.

I have that in my favs, but could not find it. When I saw this thread, I could not remember the name and it was misfiled.

FYI about Unlocker,

It works better than any similar tool I have found. The only drawback is that
MSE thinks it is infected. The problem which MSE finds is a link to ebay which
can be unchecked during the program install.

I have made an exception in MSE for this program. I have used Unlocker for years
and have never had any problems. I highly recommend it.
