Can't delete a partition with Windows 8 on it.

I have a OCZ SSD and at one point I had Ubuntu and Windows 8 set up to dual boot on it. I have since deleted the Ubuntu partition and installed Windows 7 over it. But now I want to get rid of the Windows 7 partition and extend the Windows 8 to occupy the whole drive. However the options to format and delete are greyed out.
Disk 2 is the SSD and D:\ is the Windows 8 partition and C:\ is the Windows 7.

You are booted into Win7 (signified by the Boot flag) so obviously cannot delete it.

As it says D is System this means the Files booting both OS's are on it. So you should be able to delete Win7 on C from D, then extend Win8 to the left to take up the prime HD space for faster reads.

To do this use free Partition Wizard bootable Disk Resize function which will not fail while all others besides Disk Mgmt can and will fail.
