Hiya, got a major problem:

I manually wrote 2 DNS adresses, some time ago.

Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter
TCP/IPV4
212.242.40.3
212.242.40.51
-for getting access to a wireless router at the office.

Since then, I haven't been able to delete them, thus not being able to connect to any other wireless networks.

When I try to put in "use automatic DNS server address", then click "ok", it ask me to reboot.
-whether I reboot or not, the settings have reverted to the ones above, when I click back in.

If I put in other DNS adresses, it also revertes.
If I click on "advanced" and delete the DNS settings / creates new ones (208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220), it also revertes (whether I reboot or not).

Any ideas?

If you've got the wireless driver you can always use Guru3D - Driver Sweeper to uninstall & just re-install..

But I'd first try the roll back option in dev mgr.(Right-click Computer > Manage > Roll back the driver.)

Are you sure its not your domain policy setting these?

Thank you for the advice, as soon as I had done that, my computer crashed big time and could not restart (endless bsod cycle) untill I got it to reboot in safe-mode without network.

-I figured that the wireless network card driver made it crash (faulty driver rollback), and removed the card in "device manager thingy".

Lo and behold, the computer booted, reinstalled the card, and had forgotten the dns settings.

So morale of the story?
-SHUT UP AND REINSTALL!

Why I didn't do that from the start beats me.
-It is even written on the wall in our office, right below "SHUT UP AND REBOOT", just above "SHUT UP AND REIMPORT".

SO thanks for giving me advice, which forced me to take action :)
