cant delete files

Hi, my friend recently download some application in my computer.. and now i am currently trying to delete the files away from my computer.. but the computer insisted me to delete as it always said it had been used by other program.. I had tried restarting, but it wont work as well.. Even using CMD.exe didnt work as well.. Is there any way that can get rid of it..?

Revo is a good program to remove undesired programs. Read the instruction and use it wisely. Why would one let anybody download anything on there computer.

Well, basically is not on purpose.. he just trying installed some program for his computer but the program seems to install secretly into my computer instead.

what program that's you mean?? can you mention it?
basically,if can't delete the file, because of..
- don't have a permission
- still have running the program (used program)
- virus
- etc
like your case, you can't delete the file, and the error is because the program is still running,
going to task manager ( Ctrl+alt+del ) then see the processes one.
if that's still can't help, maybe the program have running some services on it.
you must going to administrative tool, services to stop the services first. then try to delete it.

unlocker is a good program..

jeff425, im guessing that unlocker did the trick, it would avoid confusion if you stated that ,
it would make it clear and help people who are doing a search for solutions to similar issues

I bet if you had gone into task manager ---> processes you would have seen it running there. You could have eneded the process and deleted.

You shouldn't need 3rd party software for this type of problem.
