Can't delete useless partitions

Hi, so the story is: I got a new laptop that was had windows 10 on it but was originally designed to run windows 7. So I put windows 7 on it and mostly it worked well but there were a few issues with the network and sound drivers. After poking around a bit I decided (with my limited expertise) that the problems were caused by old leftover stuff from Windows 10.

After a while I got over the fact I couldn't use wireless. And the sound fixed itself thankfully. Recently though I was trying to use a customization tool and I got an error that is associated with having a dual boot windows. I went into the disk management screen and I noticed there were two different recovery partitions.

I suspect at least one is redundant and part of what's causing problems. I want to delete it but I'm worried about breaking my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi MoleKingQ36,

Did you not remove/format the drive(s) during installation?
Also, during the process there is an option to delete ALL other partitions.
If you have only recently re-installed you could backup all your data and do a clean install with only Windows 7 and no leftover Windows 10.
This might save you a lot of grief in the future.

This excellent tutorial be Brink (number 7 in particular in the tutorial) will get you on the right track:

Clean Install Windows 7

I hope this helps!

Hi MoleKingQ36,

Alternatively, if you installed Windows 7 onto the C: drive you could use AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition (FREE) which will allow you to delete the partitions you don't want.

I hope this helps!
