(I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium). I thought I had disabled the home group, but I still see it in Explorer which I find annoying. So I look in the Network and Sharing center and I see that after "Homegroup:" it says "Joined" (which I don't want). So I try to fix this by clicking on "Choose homegroup and sharing options", but this does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!. So I tried re-enabling the Homegroup provider and listener services and rebooted. It now shows these services as started. However clicking on that menu still does nothing and it still says "Joined". Also if I click on "Joined" which appears to be a link, it also does absolutely nothing. Also after "View your active networks" there is a link that says "Connect or disconnect". If I click on that it just brings up a window that shows my current internet connection, but it doesn't give me any opportunity to leave the homegroup. Also I don't see homegroup as one of my control panel applets. (I have disabled some of the control panel applets that I wasn't using, so possibly I disabled the homegroup applet. Unfortunately I can't remember how I disabled these applets so I don't know how to reverse that. Seems to be quite difficult).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
