Solved Can't download anything with IE11 win7

Well I reviewed your system spec's and saw you do have a 32 bit machine which Revo works better with
64 bit machines not so much

Review your uninstall a program list and post screen shots of it please
There might be some you may not notice and we might

On the top right of the uninstall a program page where the question mark is
To the left of it there's a drop down arrow use it and select List from the options
You might get all of the listing in 1 screen shot.

I'm sure we'll have to restore some file type defaults after being cleaned and also resetting your browsers again.

I have uninstalled the AVG Tuneup.

Under the WinRAR archiver:

(1) Start-up Tool (internet Broadband connection)

The list (2-6) below is a bundle packaged software that included in the installation CD:

(2) Uni-care Neo 2 (software for old age care service)
(3) Remote Support Tool
(4) Signature Decoding Tool
(5) Diagnostic Recovery Tools
(6) Transfer Request API Library

I tried to uninstall few programs one by one. Each time, I restarted the machine and checked the downloading effect. See the new list.

One thing is sure regarding the previous "Windows Internet Explorer 8". The minute I un-installed the "Java 8 Update 40," it automatically disappeared from the list right in front of my eyes. It seems it was linked with this particular Java. I didn't uninstall the IE8, but it went away with Java at the same time in the blink of an eye.

Even though the list now is shortened, the problem persists. One pops up in my mind, and that is, I have heard someone said (or I have read somewhere) about re-intalling an upgrade to repair. How does that work, or is it an advisable thing?

A different question: Post #6 and Post #25 are talking about Avira and AVG. AVG was introduced to me by Mailwasher several years ago to be one of the best. Avira was again told to be even better by some other source. I don't know the difference, since I have used these two softwares for years now. What Antivirus would you recommend?

"Windows Internet Explorer 8" is in your screenshot of installed items.

ThrashZone suggested using Microsoft Security Essentials in post #7. I would suggest that too. You can change to something else later on - if you wish.

Open internet explorer,
Click Gear symbol on the top right and Manage add-ons
On the bottom left column switch to Show all add-ons

Then on the top click on Toolbars and extensions
Post a screen shot

Also on the list of options on the bottom left column there's also a listing
Run without permissions
Disable all of them.
No need for a screen shot of them the list is way too long

It's SOLVED. I strongly feel it was the Post #48 "Okay I suppose go ahead and redo these,
Can't download anything with IE11 win7" which did the job. I think, previously I ignored the bottom part of the instructions you gave in Post #32, which made me do only the top part which says, "Try these Mr. Fixit's
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...nce_and_safety". Once it didn't work, I didn't do the rest. But this time, I tried to do the whole instruction, and there the fix.
