Can't enter Gmail

Suddenly today, I'm unable to enter Gmail. I get this everytime:

Can anyone help?

I've already tried to delete all temp and browsing history in the Internet Options. No joy!

Try another browser, or use a POP/IMAP client instead perhaps?

Does IE stop on everything or just Gmail?

It's just Gmail. I tried Firefox, and it works fine. But I kinda wanted to stick with IE 64 bit until Firefox has a 64 bit browser.

Update Java and see if that helps:

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
• Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u17 allows end-users to run Java applications".
• Click the "Download" button to the right.
• Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
• The page will refresh.
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u17-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

It may also be an ActiveX problem.

There is already a 64-bit Firefox...no one uses 64-bit full time because of companies like Adobe...

Can you type event viewer in search. goto the windows logs>application tab. look for errors (they have red in the left hand column) that have app hang, app crash, or anything IE related. when you find them can you use the snipping tool (built into win 7) to make a screen shot and upload it to us using the attachment icon (shaped like a paper clip) in the reply form to upload it to us

Where? I've never seen a link or ever heard it mentioned, neither can i find it in their FTP site.......

To be fair it is codename Shiretoko which is the 64-bit version of Firefox (think also of Minefield)

Got it working now. Thanks Guys! I'm downloading Firefox 64 bit now. If it works, I'm switching.

Please note that many (if not all) plugins in for Firefox won't work for the 64-bit version...

That's one of the things that crossed my mind just before i was gonna install. I didn't in the end for that exact reason.
