Can't figure out why I need to reboot every 2 days

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 that I got from being a House Party host. Anyways even back when I ran RC I had this problem. My one friend also has this problem and what happens is that after 2 days of uptime you can't open programs. It gives a weird error so you have to reboot. The only programs we use that are in common are, Avast AV, Iobit 360 security and Firefox. I check the event manager and don't really see anything that jumps out at me. Any ideas?

Disable Automatic System Restart and you should be provided with an error code when the system crashes.

1. Right click Computer, click Properties.
2. Click Advanced system settings on left hand pane,
3. Click Advanced tab and select Settings under Start-up and Recovery.
4. Untick Automatically restart under System failure settings.
5. Apply Settings. Done!

Well it doesn't exactly crash it just becomes unstable so I have to reboot. Like for example Quicken will say that it needs to be reinstalled because its missing needed components. However after reboot it works fine again. Same thing with itunes it crashes and then I know its time to reboot.

Could be a problem with your Memory. Try removing a memory module from your computer.

Try running SFC/ SCANNOW from Command Prompt. It will repair any problems with your system files.

Maybe your didn't have any problems with Vista x64 because the memory worked fine then. If you still have Vista installed, try it.

Also, try installing updates for all your programs such as Quicken as it may not be fully compatible with Windows 7.

Teething problems, you'll soon find the root cause.

Old post but I thought I would update. I figured out the issue it was all caused by a program called Iobit security 360. Its some anti-malware scanner. I thought it was good but it screwed windows 7 up.
