Hi there,
I've been trying for around 6 hours today to get my new computer up and running, but I've run into a problem, my sata disk wont be located during the windows 7 installation. "No drives were found" I've turned on AHCI and I've downloaded drivers from Gigabyte's homepage, but I get the message "To continue installation, use the Load Driver option to install 32-bit and signed 64-bit drivers. installing an unsigned 64-bit device driver is not supported and might result in an unusable Windows installation." Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

Here is the PC spec;

Different BIOSes will be different in terms of exactly where to look. I'd look everywhere you could for it. If you can't find it, it might be DOA (dead on arrival).

Good question by Petey. Also, do you have your SATA driver?
GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0) - GIGABYTE (if your rev is 2.0 on mobo)
I've tried all those drivers, they arent signed it seems like.... I can't install them I've extracted them, put them on a USB disk, and it say the message I wrote in first post.

but it might be that it's a doa, because I can't seem to find my HDD in the BIOS. even though I have no clue where to look.

There should be a section that list hardware.

Ignore the unsigned warning to see if HD shows up when you install 64 bit SATA controller driver during install.

Your HD should register in the BIOS where the CD/DVD drive does. If not, try changing its cable or SATA port.

Change also the SATA controller setting from AHCI if necessary to SATA or IDE.

I'm sorry for the trouble, I've fixed it somehow, I dont know what was wrong. I took out everything and put it back in again, and now it works.... Sorry for the trouble again

It sounds like the hard drive was not connected properly, which is what i suspected. Glad to hear you got it to work.
