Helow everybody. I have a Toshiba Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate ,with Intel Wirless adaptor and an Marvel Ethernet adaptor. i have problems getting automatic Ip on the wireless while on the enthernet dhcp works fine. If i am gonna put automatic Ip and Dns in the wireless adaptor just can't get the right Ips. ( it says that has an Ip of 169.254.x.x bla bla which means that dhcp doens't work. If i am goona put manual Ip's things are fine. I have Internet and i see all the other Pc's in my netowrk.
Dhcp and Dns Services are automatic and running in the windows 7 Services. Also my Router one Cisco-Linksys has been set for Dhcp Server --> Enable. I don't have any idea what could be the problem sicnce the enthernet connection works fine with Dhcp and Automatic Ip's.
Any Help?
Thank You.

Before we can pinpoint your problem here are some questions that I have.

Have reloaded the router?

Sometimes these things can locked up sometimes...just reload it by unplugging it for 30 seconds or so.

Also what is between the router and the computer? (Do you have a switch or other device?)

Do you have any other computers in your network that connect to the same router? wired or wireless Do they work?

Is the computer that is having issues wired or wireless?

Have you restarted the PC? (If not try restarting it and see if the network comes back)

Thanx for your replys guys. Well like i said i have a Cisco - Linkys Router. I don't have any idividual switch cuase the router it self have 4 ports for ethernet connections. I have one Desktop (wired Connection direclty from the router, Automatic Ip's work fine)
and 2 laptops connected with wireless. No 1 laptop also toshiba is accepting automatic ip's dhcp and dns work fine. No 2 Laptop that has the problem can not get automatic ip's . Only with mannually ips works fine. I don't have any Internet Security Application Installed. I have already reset the router 2 times, but nothing. So i guess since the other 2 systems ( a desktop and a laptop) work fine with automatic Ip's something is going on to this specific laptop. Now if i am gonna connect the laptop wired and no wireless doesn't have any problem getting automatic ip's.
