Can't get into W7 disk

I insert the W7 Full Ultimate disk in any DVD or CD drive and it ejects. Try to open the disk so I can get to setup.exe and WE quits responding. It will not boot even though auto-start is turned on. Other software disks work like their supposed to. Will keep working at it until I solve the problem or get an answer from you guys.

Yes. This is the new disk I purchased from Newegg.

The latest is .The disk finally booted from my DVD drive. Loaded some files, started the installation, went to a blue screen with a dove on it. And hung there. Waited 10 minutes with no further progress.

Try waiting longer. Make sure you are booting the DVD and not running it from OS. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/ht/bootcddvd.htm

Next try Clearing the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS, set SATA controller to AHCI, then if necessary IDE.

Remove all but 2gb of RAM to retry install, swap RAM sticks. Test your RAM.

Test your HD using maker's full Diag/Repair CD scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

Does it read other DVD data disks ok? It really sounds like the DVD drive itself is having an issue with the disk...

Went to AHCI and computer failed to boot. I do have 2gb RAM.
Finally, on a hunch, I restored the WXP image that I had saved. The disk booted from that OS and went right to completion. Got to install all my programs and restore data.
