Can't find much info on Cannon's site...and they don't have a support forum like HP ? Can't get my Cannon IP5000 to connect to my home wireless network...all other machines/PC's/laptops connect with no problem.

Cannon used to connect with old router (Netgear WGT640) but won't with my new Netgear WNR3500v1 router.

Anyone know of a Cannon specific forum and/or unofficial support group online where I can trouble shoot this printer with Win 7 Pro 32bit machine(s) & networks?

Thanks....TR

If your PC and printer is individually connected to the router and prior router worked then it is likely to be

1. Wired to wireless LAN sharing for printer issues
2. LAN IP change ex 192.168.0.x to 192.168.1.x and any third party firewall on PC is refusing to connect.

One great way to check is to connect PC hardwired and if you are able to find the printer it's a wireless issue.

OK thanks for the claification...also noticed that the machine this printer was on has a "homegroup"...must have been set up by my GF since we have both XP & W7 machines on the network that I set up ? Deleted/removed the Homegroup and will now try to reconnect the Canon...hopefully...the stray Homegroup on this PC was causing the problem ?
