i was on my computer surfing the internet when i got a BOSD and restarted my computer it kept happening when i was on the internet so i ran a chkdsk and mem test
to see what it could they oth came out clean and i was stumped. i left my computer alone but after a few days i turned it on and decided to try plaing a game and it worked
i played the game fora few hours and when i turned it off i was bombarded with messages from this program called win 7 home security that somehow turned off my windows defender '
i tried running a scan with my nod32 antivirus software but it came up clean. this program wouldnt let me go on the internet it kept saying i was unprotected and that it wld save my computer
i tried to find a way to uninstall it and i looked for the directory that it was in but i couldn't. so i decided to restart my computer and go into safe mode but when i restarted my comuputer
it stoped at loading operatig system and wont go past there.
im writing this on my dads computer.

Download malwarebytes from here: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: Malwarebytes Install the program, reboot computer into safe mode and then run Malwarebytes. OR Option two would be to restore your system to a known good date before this happened...i.e. last week. I would do this from safe mode as well. Hope this helps.

Reboot the computer and during the BIOS display screen start pressing F8. This should start you off in safe mode or give you an option to start normally or in safe mode. It may take more than one try...but that is how you get into safe mode.

This a rather unorthidox method. Boot your computer once the windows screen starts push the power button and hold it. Your computer will shut down. Now start the computer again. It should tell you that your computer suffered an unexpected shutdown and ask how you want to start the computer. I think one of the options is safe mode or repair. If that doesn't work power on the computer, quickly put in your repair disk and boot into the one time boot options. Select your CD/DVD to boot into the repair DVD. Select system restore and go back several days to a time when this was not happening. If that works, download malwarebytes and run the complete scan. Try those see if they work.
