I can't seem to connect to my win7 pc from my Win XP Pro laptop or any other PC using VPN.
I have tried disabling all firewalls and set a reserved IP in my router for my home PC and even put it in the DMZ but i still get error messages that the pc is not accessable.
I can connect using Windows Remote Desktop and Tight VNC.
I set up a DYdns account and it works just fine with the above connections from outside my LAN. All my PCs use the same user name and password and all have no problems with file sharing. I am set as administrator and accept remote connections is checked.
All boxes are checked in network settings and I am listed as an allowed user.
I have been a pc tech for 10 years and have never been so stumped with a problem.
I have read many online tutorials and none seem to solve the problem. any ideas?
All help no matter how simple would be appreciated.

Ps. I know the dangers of no firewalls and DMZ.
Learned the hard way one time. I got boted in less than 10 minutes.
Had to reinstall the OS.

Welcome to Seven Forums,

Sometimes changing the DNS to Public DNSs helps, have you tried this?
